David Miliband is a British politician and diplomat who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Shields from 2001 to 2013. He was also the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs under Prime Minister Gordon Brown from 2007 to 2010. After leaving politics, he became the President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee, a humanitarian aid organization, where he worked until 2017. He is the elder brother of Ed Miliband, who also served as an MP and as the leader of the UK’s Labour Party.
