Emeritus Professor of Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD, André Laurent’s work concentrates on cross-cultural management.
His research, published in numerous articles and books, investigates the impact of national cultures on management and organisational processes. His teaching centres on cultural diversity in multinational organisations as it affects multicultural teams, human resource management, corporate culture and organisational change. As a consultant to major corporations around the globe, he has worked on many projects related to the merging of organisational cultures across borders.
Before joining INSEAD, he was on the faculty of the University of Michigan, Institute for Social Research. Prior to that, he worked as an Industrial Psychologist for Pechiney in West Africa.
Originally trained as a Clinical Psychologist, André holds a degree in Sociology and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Paris-Sorbonne and an ITP degree from Harvard University.
