Alex Thomson is one of the most versatile talents in the business – fronting quiz shows, panel debates and discussion programmes in the UK and Europe for a variety of clients and TV channels. He is also a highly experienced chair and facilitator of conferences and conventions in the worlds of business and public policy, hosting events across the UK and abroad. Alex has also compered a number of high-profile awards events and is in constant demand as a speaker drawing on his many years experience of reporting national and international news. Educated at University College, Oxford, he has worked for BBC television and radio. In addition, he has written books on India and the Gulf War. In 1997 he won the Home News Award at the Royal Television Society Journalism Awards for his reporting on Bloody Sunday. His current role is as television presenter and chief correspondent for Channel 4 News, part of ITN. He has covered fifteen wars as well as other major international conflicts while at ITN.
