Patrick Dixon

Patrick Dixon is a futurist, business thinker and writer. For him, tomorrow is history - his mind is much further ahead and he warns companies that theirs should be, too; 'the larger the corporation, the greater the risk that you are flying blind'.

Regarded as an international authority on global trends and 'one of the twenty most influential business thinkers alive today', Dr Dixon is a popular and gifted communicator, addressing thousands of people a year. Easy to listen to, lively and hard-hitting, his vast array of data and original research motivates people to change.

A graduate in medical sciences at King's College, Cambridge, Dr Dixon continued his training at The Charing Cross Hospital. At this time, he launched Medicom, selling early medical software solutions. After qualifying as a doctor, he cared for cancer patients, first at St Joseph's Hospice and then UCH. He went on to specialise in the care of AIDS victims and published his first book, The Truth About AIDS, which challenged preconceptions and predicted the unfolding catastrophe that has since swept through Africa.

Dr Dixon founded Global Change, through which he conducts tailor-made research for Fortune 500 companies and advises the boards of multinationals across the globe. He is a Fellow of The Centre for Management Development at The London Business School and participates in The World Economic Forum, at Davos.

Dr Dixon has published twelve books, including Building A Better Business and The Truth About Westminster. His website gets half a million hits per month and he makes countless radio and TV appearances, many from a studio in his own home.
