Clive Woodward
Sir Clive Woodward, the coach who led England's rugby players to World Cup glory in Australia in 2003, is now the full-time elite performance Director of the British Olympic Association. He will also be responsible for Great Britain's pre-Beijing preparation camp and will act as deputy chef de mission at the Beijing and London Olympics and the Vancouver Winter Games. Clive enjoyed a successful career with Rank Xerox that included a spell in Australia while playing his club rugby down under. On his return to the UK he has ran his own IT leasing company and has hands on experience of business at the sharp end. His distinguished playing career included 21 England caps and touring with the British Lions in 1981 and 1983. His coaching career prior to England included Henley and London Irish. Clive's success lies in his ability to communicate and instil often challenging ideas with a practical and proven methodology.
